The Savannah International Trade & Convention Center is one of the prime venues managed in partnership with Sodexo, providing a dynamic and fast-paced environment dedicated to hosting a variety of events ranging from small meetings to large-scale conventions with hundreds of guests. The center's pivot towards excellence in event execution is driven by the expertise and coordination of skilled staff, among whom the Banquet Supervisor plays a critical role.
As a full-time Banquet Supervisor at Sodexo in Savannah, Georgia, you will lead the banquet and catering team by overseeing event operations to ensure impeccable service delivery that meets client standards and expectations. This role offers an hourly pay range of $24 to $26, reflecting the importance of the supervisor’s responsibilities and leadership skills.
This position serves as the primary on-site leader above the Banquet Captain level, supervising banquet captains and servers to guide seamless event execution. You will be instrumental in monitoring setups, orchestrating service flow, managing staff, and resolving any operational issues to guarantee a smooth event experience. Your oversight will span a diverse range of service styles including receptions, buffets, plated meals, and multi-course dinners.
In addition to supervising event days, you will contribute actively to event preparation, setup, breakdown, and cleanup, all while upholding high safety and sanitation standards. The role demands strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment where attention to detail and problem-solving are key.
Flexibility in working varying shifts and showing dedication by being punctual and reliable is essential. This position may also involve supporting off-site catered functions, expanding the scope of your leadership and operational expertise.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2-4 years of banquet, catering, or food and beverage service experience
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in banquet or event operations required
- Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol based on local and state regulations
- Working knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems and event service processes
- TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) or TEAM (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management) alcohol training or equivalent
- Food handler certification may be required based on location
Job Qualifications
