As a Banquet Supervisor at the Murfreesboro Embassy Suites, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the flawless execution of banquet events. You will coordinate with various departments and vendors to bring events to life, supervise banquet staff, oversee the set-up and breakdown of event spaces, and maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout. This role requires a hands-on leader who can train and coach team members to uphold exceptional service standards and enhance guest satisfaction. You will also troubleshoot audio-visual setups and provide support wherever needed to maintain the smooth execution of events. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a high-performing banquet team capable of delivering top-tier guest experiences consistently. The position demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods during events. Additionally, familiarity with Microsoft Office and event management software like Delphi will be beneficial in managing event logistics efficiently.

Job Requirements

  • 6+ months of banquet experience
  • Prior leadership exposure
  • Food safety certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
  • Alcohol service certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to learn Delphi event management software

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Lead flawless banquets by executing event orders and coordinating with vendors and departments to bring events to life

  • Keep things sparkling - monitor cleanliness, reset rooms, and keep supplies stocked and presentation-ready
  • Provide hands-on training, coaching, and leadership for banquet staff to ensure top-tier service and guest satisfaction
  • Troubleshoot audio-visual setups and step in where needed to ensure a smooth experience for guests and team alike
