We are currently seeking a Banquet House Attendant & Server to join our dedicated banquet and events team. This role is crucial in supporting the flawless execution of our events by maintaining the cleanliness and organization of banquet spaces and assisting both servers and culinary staff as needed. As a Banquet House Attendant & Server, you will be responsible for preparing event rooms according to detailed event orders, ensuring that all equipment such as tables, chairs, linens, and dishware are properly cleaned and stored. Your efforts will extend to maintaining the overall tidiness of banquet areas, kitchens, and storage locations, contributing significantly to a positive guest experience.

This position demands a detail-oriented, reliable individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The nature of the work involves physical activities such as lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, pushing, and standing for extended periods, all essential to maintaining the high standards our guests expect. Your role will also include adhering strictly to health, safety, and sanitation regulations, and swiftly addressing any maintenance or safety concerns with management. Excellent communication skills and teamwork are pivotal, as you will interact closely with various team members to ensure seamless event operations.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum lifting of 50 pounds
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift, push, pull, and move banquet equipment
  • Hearing, writing, and typing skills
  • Ability to push, bend, stoop, and reach upward
  • Previous experience in banquets, stewarding, hospitality, or food and beverage preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and dedication to cleanliness
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to follow instructions and event diagrams
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling standards preferred
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations
  • Ability to obtain required licenses or certifications if applicable
  • CPR and First Aid training preferred
  • Additional language skills a plus

Job Duties

  • Set up banquet rooms according to event orders and service standards
  • Break down and reset banquet rooms as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness of banquet spaces, kitchens, storage areas, and service corridors
  • Clean and properly store banquet equipment including tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, and silverware
  • Assist banquet servers and culinary team before, during, and after events
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of trash, recyclables, and food waste
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and use cleaning chemicals properly
  • Report maintenance issues and safety hazards promptly
  • Maintain professional appearance and collaborate with events team
  • Support a positive guest experience through efficiency and attention to detail
