Job Description

Invited is a leading company in the hospitality and service industry, recognized as the largest owner and operator of private clubs nationwide. Since 1957, Invited has been committed to building strong relationships and enriching the lives of its members, guests, and employees. The company manages over 130 country clubs, city clubs, and athletic clubs that provide first-class amenities. These amenities include championship golf courses, modern workspaces, handcrafted cuisine, resort-style pools, state-of-the-art racquet facilities, and fitness centers, offering a comprehensive, luxury club experience to a diverse membership base. Invited’s dedication to exceptional service and high standards creates a supportive and inclusive workplace culture for over 17,000 employees, promoting professional growth and teamwork.

The role of Banquet Setup Person is vital within this dynamic environment. This position is responsible for the setup, maintenance, and teardown of banquet and event spaces to ensure that all tables, chairs, and room arrangements meet the highest standards of presentation and functionality. Working collaboratively with the Food & Beverage Director, Banquet Director, Banquet or Restaurant Manager, and the service and Event Sales staff, the Banquet Setup Person supports seamless event execution. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to follow banquet event orders and floor plans, ensuring the arranged setups enhance member and guest satisfaction.

The Banquet Setup Person’s duties range from physically setting up tables, chairs, dance floors, and table settings to tearing down and clearing event spaces promptly after events. This person also ensures that all banquet rooms and storage areas remain clean, organized, and free from maintenance issues by reporting concerns to appropriate departments. In addition, the role may involve assisting with food running and bussing as needed during events, contributing to smooth operations and excellent service delivery. A strong emphasis is placed on demonstrating the company’s 3-steps of service philosophy — warm welcomes, magic moments, and fond farewells — to create memorable experiences for members and guests.

Apart from the core responsibilities, this position also demands flexibility to assist with other tasks as assigned by management, adherence to company policies, maintaining professionalism in all interactions, practicing workplace safety, and actively participating in ongoing training and development for personal growth. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks such as standing for long periods, lifting up to 100 pounds, climbing, squatting, and more. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with previous food and beverage service experience and participation in Invited’s F&B Service Training program.

Overall, the Banquet Setup Person plays an essential role in ensuring the success of club events and enhancing overall member and guest experience by providing impeccable setup services and teamwork in a professional, friendly environment.
