Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds constantly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 200 pounds
  • Ability to maneuver banquet furniture and set up fixtures
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Willingness to comply with pre-employment drug testing and background checks

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in banquet or event setup preferred
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed banquet event orders
  • Knowledge of banquet audiovisual and sound equipment
  • Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate hospitality
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards in hospitality settings

Job Duties

  • Set up and break down meeting rooms according to banquet event orders
  • Maximize customer satisfaction by accurately executing event set-up instructions
  • Establish professional and courteous rapport with guests and respond to special requests
  • Monitor and adjust lighting, temperature, and cleanliness in function rooms
  • Maintain and store banquet furniture, equipment, and work areas properly
  • Communicate service brand behavior and contribute to a hospitable environment
  • Follow up on guest concerns with empathy and ensure resolution
