Job Requirements
- ability to lift up to 25 pounds constantly up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- ability to maneuver up to 150 pounds occasionally for short periods
- able to set up and take down tables chairs stages and other banquet meeting fixtures
- ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 200 pounds
- ability to stand for extended periods constantly
- strong organization skills
- strong verbal communication skills
- ability to read and interpret detailed banquet and event orders
- ability to read and interpret instructions
- availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in banquet or event supervision preferred
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- excellent verbal communication abilities
- ability to read and interpret detailed banquet and event orders
- proficiency in handling banquet AV and sound equipment
- ability to train and lead a team effectively
- customer service orientation with ability to resolve guest issues promptly
Job Duties
- supervise and assist in setup and breakdown of meetings conventions and banquets based on event orders and customer needs
- maximize customer satisfaction by executing detailed instructions for assigned events
- establish professional and courteous rapport with customers to encourage repeat business
- coordinate servicing of special customer requirements through other departments and external sources
- monitor and maintain customer comfort by managing environmental factors such as lighting temperature maintenance and sanitation
- participate in the upkeep and accuracy of the Banquet and Event Order (BEO) book
- attend BEO meetings with sales banquet and food and beverage teams to ensure comprehensive understanding of upcoming events
