Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in banquet setup or hospitality a plus
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and event orders
- Strong physical stamina and ability to handle manual labor
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable transportation to and from work
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of audio visual equipment and set up
- Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor locations and conditions
- Must be able to walk or stand for long periods of time
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Must be able to frequently squat, reach above shoulder level, crouch, balance, and push or pull
- Must be able to occasionally bend, stoop, twist, climb, and kneel
- Must be able to repeatedly lift or carry up to 25 lbs, frequently lift or carry up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs
- Available for day and night shifts during summer
- weekends and holidays required
Job Duties
- Check banquet event orders (BEOs) at the beginning of each shift
- Ensure all needed supplies and equipment are in the room at least 15 minutes prior to event start time
- Set up event tables and chairs and tear down according to BEO specifications and company standards
- Vacuum event rooms prior to events or as requested by the BEO
- Wash windows in event rooms prior to events
- Coordinate the A/V setup per the BEO and check that A/V is working and ready to use prior to event start
- Assist banquet event guests with any special needs or requests throughout their function
