Job Description
LaborMax Staffing is a leading staffing agency specializing in providing skilled labor to various industries, including hospitality and event management. With a focus on delivering reliable and efficient workforce solutions, LaborMax partners with clients to ensure smooth event operations and exceptional guest experiences. As an equal opportunity employer, LaborMax is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment, providing opportunities for individuals to excel in roles that suit their skills and career goals.
The role of Banquet Server with LaborMax Staffing involves providing essential service support during events to guarantee client satisfaction and seamless function execution. The position requires attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Candidates will be responsible for unloading and loading vans with dishes, food, condiments, and other necessary items, as well as setting up banquet rooms according to client specifications. This includes arranging linens, service ware, and glassware, and polishing silverware, dishes, and glassware for presentation.
Banquet Servers attend pre-event roll call meetings to familiarize themselves with the event particulars, guest expectations, and client requirements. During events, servers greet guests with courtesy, respond promptly to their requests, and serve hors d'oeuvres, food, and beverages in an orderly and efficient manner. Tasks may also include passing out hors d'oeuvres, replenishing buffet items, filling beverages, and assisting with dessert preparation. Servers are expected to maintain cleanliness by promptly removing dishes after each course and ensuring tables are clear of dirty dishes while keeping beverages refreshed throughout the event.
Post-event duties include assisting with cleanup, room preparation for the next function, scraping plates, dishwashing as needed, and disposing of trash. Given the high volume of guests, banquet servers must be versatile and willing to float across multiple departments to support the overall event operations. Compliance with all operational standards, policies, manuals, and both State and Federal regulations—especially those related to the serving of alcoholic beverages—is mandatory.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their hospitality skills and work in dynamic event settings. LaborMax Staffing provides an engaging environment where teamwork and client satisfaction are prioritized. Whether you are experienced in banquet service or seeking entry into the catering industry, this role offers valuable exposure and professional growth potential.
