Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • six months of service experience in a restaurant, hotel, or resort
  • TIPS responsible alcohol service certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • valid ServSafe Food Handler card or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • ability to work at both CIA California campus locations
  • ability to stand and work for extended periods
  • ability to bend, stoop or reach as needed
  • ability to frequently lift and carry 30 pounds
  • ability to occasionally lift and carry 50 pounds with assistance
  • ability to work in outdoor environments with varying temperatures

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • six months of service experience in a restaurant, hotel, or resort
  • TIPS responsible alcohol service certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • valid ServSafe Food Handler card or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • service or hospitality industry experience preferred
  • strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • ability to adapt, be dependable and handle multiple priorities

  • highly organized, detail-oriented, accurate and efficient
  • ability to work well within a team
  • punctual and dependable

Job Duties

  • assist guests by anticipating their needs
  • function as bartender at events
  • use standardized CIA recipes for all items served from bar
  • maintain a strong food and beverage knowledge base to provide excellent guest service
  • receive orders from guests professionally
  • maintain control and timing throughout station to ensure quality guest experience
  • serve guests orders meeting CIA standards
  • conduct physical inventory of storage areas
  • order bar supplies as needed
  • rotate stock
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
  • complete setup and breakdown side work
  • ensure each table is maintained during dining experience according to standard
  • perform any other duties as assigned
