Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous banquet serving experience is a plus
  • experience in customer service is preferred
  • knowledge of banquet service standards and procedures
  • strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
  • ability to set up event spaces according to specifications
  • understanding of safe food handling practices
  • knowledge of beverage service and responsible alcohol service
  • proficiency in table setting techniques
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • basic cash handling skills
  • familiarity with POS systems
  • certification in food safety or responsible alcohol service is preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift and carry trays of food and beverages up to 25 pounds
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Provides exceptional banquet service to guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience
  • sets up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including tables, chairs, linens, and decorations
  • serves food and beverages to guests in a professional and timely manner
  • practices safe food handling techniques to maintain hygiene and prevent contamination
  • offers beverage service, including taking orders, preparing drinks, and serving responsibly
  • ensures tables are properly set with appropriate silverware, glassware, and centerpieces
  • communicates effectively with guests and other team members to ensure seamless service
  • collaborates with banquet staff to ensure efficient event execution
  • handles cash and processes payments accurately using POS systems
  • operates POS systems to record orders and process payments
