We are currently seeking a dedicated food and beverage service professional to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the smooth operation of event setup and service. Your responsibilities will include reviewing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to understand the details of menus, room setups, and audio-visual requirements. You will work collaboratively with set-up staff to prepare tables, buffets, and bars, ensuring everything is arranged to the highest standard. Prior to service, maintaining the quality and presentation of food offerings will be critical. Additionally, preparing and serving beverages to our guests in a timely and professional manner will be essential.

Effective communication is a key aspect of this position. You will serve as a liaison between front-of-house and kitchen teams, providing updates and managing any changes to ensure flawless execution. Our ideal candidate thrives under pressure, possesses excellent interpersonal skills, and maintains a high work ethic with a proactive approach. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required to meet the demands of our busy schedule.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to work in a standard office environment
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (6-8 hours a day)
  • Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday
  • Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding, typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items
  • Ability to lift and/or move 10-25 pounds as needed
  • Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation
  • Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, use phone and/or headset

Job Duties

  • Review BEOs for menu details, room setup, food, beverage and audio visual needs
  • Assist the set up staff in table set up, buffet set up, bar set up, etc
  • Check quality and presentation of food before serving
  • Prepare and serve beverages for the function
  • Provide prompt and professional service to all guests
  • Communicate with Kitchen keeping update on any changes
