Job Duties
- Prepare tables laying out napkins and utensils making sure condiments are refilled performing all other preparation tasks
- Stay updated on current menu choices specialties and menu deviations knowing if kitchen staff is running out of any items
- Handle table bookings direct customers to tables present menus suggest dishes assist in drink selection inform customers about food preparation details communicate specific customer needs to cooks
- Maintain proper dining experience deliver items fulfill customer needs offer desserts and drinks remove courses replenish utensils refill glasses
- Prepare mixed drinks for service to customers table
- Properly open and pour wine at the tableside
- Obtain revenues issue receipts accept payments return change
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
- Fill in for absent staff as needed
- Assist with special events as needed
- Greet all guests and owners warmly with an appropriate greeting
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
- Understand and communicate products and services available at the golf course or resort
- Have some familiarity with basic cooking skills
