The position of Banquet Server at Oak View Group plays an essential role in maintaining the company’s standards of hospitality and guest service. The Banquet Server is responsible for delivering professional and efficient food and beverage service during a wide variety of events, including galas, corporate functions, and wedding receptions. This role demands attention to detail, excellent multitasking skills, and a strong guest-oriented attitude. Banquet Servers work closely with kitchen and event staff to ensure the timely and seamless execution of meal service, adapting fluidly to guest needs and event specifications in real time.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior experience in banquet or food and beverage service preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to carry heavy trays
  • Ability to move quickly and maintain attention to detail
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a banquet server waiter waitress or in a similar role in the food and beverage or hospitality industry is preferred
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills with the ability to stay composed and efficient during busy events
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide a welcoming and accommodating experience for guests
  • Ability to stand for extended periods carry heavy trays and move quickly while maintaining precision and attention to detail
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects as needed

Job Duties

  • Prepare banquet rooms according to event specifications including setting up tables chairs linens and service stations
  • Ensure all items meet quality and presentation standards
  • Provide attentive and professional food and beverage service to guests during events
  • Serve courses refill beverages and promptly address guest needs
  • Break down and clean event spaces after services
  • Clear tables store equipment and reset the room
  • Prepare room for the next event while adhering to company cleanliness standards
