The role of a Banquet Server at Oak View Group is integral to delivering memorable and exceptional guest experiences during events. This position is designed to uphold the highest standards of food and beverage service, ensuring that every guest feels warmly welcomed and attentively served throughout the event. The Banquet Server is responsible for following banquet event orders meticulously, contributing to the overall ambiance and smooth operation of a broad range of events including formal galas, corporate functions, and wedding receptions. Problem-solving, teamwork, and guest interaction are key components of this dynamic role.
Banquet Servers collaborate closely with kitchen and event staff to facilitate the timely delivery of courses while maintaining a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment. The role also demands attention to detail in setting up food and beverage stations, maintaining inventories, and ensuring cleanliness and organization before, during, and after each event. Banquet Servers assist in the setup and breakdown of event spaces and are expected to work independently during slow periods, always emphasizing a customer-focused, positive, and professional attitude.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED strongly preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred
- Ability to carry at least 8 entrees per tray
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and select holidays
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Must be punctual with consistent attendance
- Must be able to respond to simple complaints or inquiries from customers

Job Duties
- Reads and understands banquet event orders
- Provides fine dining level food and beverage service to guests for all events consistent with standards of service
- Initiates and maintains friendly and professional contact with guests, ensuring that all needs are anticipated and met
- Setup and maintain both food and beverage stations in various locations throughout the building consistent with standards of service
- Maintain an inventory for both food and beverage stations
- Maintain all event areas and front of house staging areas in a tidy and organized manner
- Participate in both setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items
