The BOK Center is celebrated as the leading sports and entertainment venue in the greater Tulsa region, boasting a 19,199-seat multi-purpose arena and 565,000 square feet designed for a variety of events, including concerts, family shows, and special exhibitions. As a Banquet Server, the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting Banquet Managers and Banquet Captains during events to ensure guests receive an exceptional dining experience consistent with OVG's high standards. This position involves various responsibilities, including meticulous adherence to Banquet Event Orders, delivering fine dining-level food and beverage service, and maintaining professional and friendly interactions with guests to anticipate and fulfill their needs. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED strongly preferred
- 1+ years of experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and select holidays
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects
- Must be able to carry at least 8 entrees per tray
- Strong communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented
- Ability to multitask
- Must have a customer-focused, positive, and professional attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Punctual with consistent attendance
- Ability to respond to simple complaints or inquiries from customers or regulatory bodies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED strongly preferred
- 1+ years of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred
- High level of social contact and ability to work closely with staff and patrons
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects and carry at least 8 entrees per tray
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and select holidays
- Detail-oriented to ensure work is accurate and complete
- Ability to multitask
- Customer-focused, positive, and professional attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Job Duties
- Read and understand banquet event orders
- Provide fine dining level food and beverage service to guests for all events consistent with OVG standards of service
- Initiate and maintain friendly and professional contact with guests ensuring all needs are anticipated and met
- Setup and maintain both food and beverage stations in various locations throughout the building consistent with OVG standards of service
- Maintain an inventory for both food and beverage stations
- Maintain all event areas and front-of-house staging areas in a tidy and organized manner
- Participate in both setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items
- Work independently during slower times
- Perform safe work by helping to provide a safe and clean work environment
