The available position is for a Banquet Server, ideal for candidates who are motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to grow in a world-class resort environment. This role involves setting up banquet rooms with attention to detail, including draping tables, arranging silverware, and preparing centerpieces. The banquet server will also take part in serving and clearing food and beverages during events, maintaining cleanliness and organization of workstations, break stations, and storage areas. This role is key to ensuring timely, synchronized, and high-quality service in a fast-paced banquet environment, making a significant impact on guest satisfaction. Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Two to four years of relevant food service experience especially in banquet service
- Prior experience in a luxury hospitality setting preferred
- Ability to lift and carry trays of food and beverages
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of proper food handling and safety regulations
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Two to four years of food service experience preferably in banquet service
- Experience working in four-star or five-star venues with synchronized service
- Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
Job Duties
- Set up banquet rooms including draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and placing centerpieces
- Serve food and beverages by picking up food from the back hall, carrying trays to function locations, and serving and clearing tables
- Break down banquet rooms by bussing tables, putting away dirty linens and centerpieces, vacuuming, and cleaning back hall and organizing storerooms
- Set up AM or PM break stations with coffee, tea, snacks, and beverages
- Assist with event room setup according to meal period and table needs
- Perform food and beverage preparation duties such as preparing condiments, brewing coffee, and ensuring workstations are stocked
- Provide attentive and professional guest service, including addressing special dietary requests, maintaining quality checks on food and beverages, and handling guest concerns promptly
