As a Banquet Server at the Pueblo of Sandia, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to guests during banquet events, conferences, and special occasions. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attentiveness, and efficiency to ensure each guest's experience is memorable and enjoyable. Your responsibilities will include serving food and beverages according to Banquet Event Orders and management instructions, maintaining clean and organized banquet areas, and setting up venues with the appropriate linens, silverware, and glassware. You will be the face of the event, greeting guests warmly, providing courteous and timely service, and assisting with the clearing and resetting of rooms for upcoming events. Teamwork and communication are essential as you collaborate with other staff members to deliver seamless guest service.

This role emphasizes the importance of punctuality, regular attendance, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards, which are fundamental to maintaining the quality of the banquet service. The Banquet Server position is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent customer service skills, a keen eye for detail, and the physical ability to carry out demanding tasks such as lifting heavy trays and working on their feet for extended periods. Additionally, employees must complete mandatory training courses, including the New Mexico Food Handlers Course and maintain an Alcohol Server's License, reflecting the commitment to safety and compliance required in the hospitality industry.

Physical demands of the job include activities such as balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, and lifting, which require agility and strength. The work setting includes both indoor and outdoor environments subject to varying temperatures and weather conditions. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime is also necessary to meet event demands.
