Job Description
Invited is a leading company in the hospitality and service industry that has been dedicated to enriching the lives of its members, guests, and employees since 1957. As the largest owner and operator of private clubs in the United States, Invited proudly manages over 130 country clubs, city clubs, and athletic clubs nationwide. These clubs feature an array of first-class amenities, including championship golf courses, elegantly designed workspaces, handcrafted cuisine, resort-style pools, state-of-the-art racquet facilities, and fully equipped fitness centers. Invited’s commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for its more than 17,000 employees and its members sets it apart in the industry.
The role of Banquet Server at Invited is both dynamic and rewarding, designed for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional food and beverage service in an upscale, event-driven environment. This position plays a critical role in the success of private and corporate events by ensuring every guest interaction meets Invited’s high service standards. Banquet Servers at Invited consistently apply the three key steps of service: warm welcomes, magic moments, and fond farewells. This means greeting guests with genuine hospitality, anticipating their needs to create memorable experiences, and concluding service on a positive and professional note.
As a Banquet Server, you will work closely with the banquet team and supervisory staff, including the Food and Beverage Director, Banquet Director, Banquet Manager, and Restaurant Manager, to ensure flawless execution of events. Responsibilities include preparing and setting up banquet areas, managing food and beverage orders, maintaining comprehensive knowledge of menu items and dietary accommodations, and addressing member or guest concerns promptly using effective service recovery techniques. The role demands a proactive attitude, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Beyond the direct service duties, Banquet Servers are expected to assist with event setup and breakdown, maintaining cleanliness and organization in banquet spaces, and supporting colleagues as needed. Adherence to company policies, department procedures, and health and safety guidelines is essential to maintaining a safe workplace. And because Invited emphasizes growth and development, team members are encouraged to participate in ongoing training, uphold their certifications, and contribute to a positive club culture.
Invited recognizes the dedication and skill of its team members with a competitive total rewards package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and generous paid time off. The work schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, adapting to the needs of the club and its events. This role is ideal for individuals who value teamwork, are committed to excellence in hospitality, and want to be part of an organization that values its people and strives to continuously provide outstanding experiences to its members and guests.
