Their flagship property, the Boeing Center at Tech Port, is an innovative multi-purpose event venue in San Antonio, Texas. As part of the Food & Beverage department, the Banquet Server role at Legends Global/Boeing Center at Tech Port is a crucial position responsible for delivering outstanding dining experiences during catered events. This part-time, hourly position, reporting to the Catering Manager, demands a professional team player who can maintain high service standards while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Banquet Server is tasked with ensuring the seamless execution of food and beverage service, which includes the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of events. This position is essential to maintaining the venue's reputation for excellence and guest satisfaction.
The Banquet Server leads the frontline interaction with guests, providing attentive and courteous service with a constant focus on guest experience and presentation standards. Responsibilities include preparing event spaces such as plate-ups, buffets, and receptions with detailed attention — from table linens and napkin folds to replenishments and bar stations. The role requires thorough familiarity with the functions of each event, including the specifications within the Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). Professionalism is key, as the server represents the company in settings that often include corporate clients, high-profile guests, and talent. Compliance with all health and safety regulations, including possessing valid TABC and Food Handler permits, is mandatory to ensure legal and safe service of food and beverages.
The Banquet Server must maintain a well-groomed, neat appearance adhering to uniform guidelines and uphold a positive, approachable demeanor throughout their shift. Physical demands include the ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry up to 30 lbs, and adapt to the dynamic conditions of event environments, which may involve noise, heat, and varied temperatures. The position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules dictate.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid TABC certification
- Valid Food Handlers Permit
- Minimum 2 years serving experience
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Reports to work as scheduled in uniform and ready to be in position
- Setup of events including plateups, receptions, and buffets
- Attention to detail such as napkin folds, seams on tables, and uniform setups
- Setting up all catering needs for event including back stations and replenishments
- Maintaining polishing and keeping a neat workspace
- Thorough and spotless breakdown of event with items returned to their locations
- Staying prepared with neat uniform and remaining attentive to guests with a welcoming smile
- Maintaining professional attitude without slouching or distractions
- Following instructions of supervisor serving as communication between kitchen and front of house
- Providing confident knowledge of event menu including guest dietary restrictions and event logistics
- Remaining in compliance with liquor laws and food handling certifications
- Adhering to safety standards including use of non-slip shoes and proper spill handling
- Following checklists and standard operating procedures
- Maintaining professional relationships with coworkers
- Representing company positively with corporate and high-profile guests
- Maintaining full knowledge of Banquet Event Orders including specific details and time stamps
