The Event Server role at Cincinnati Convention Center is integral to the successful execution of catered events and banquets. This position involves delivering top-tier food and beverage service to guests in a timely and courteous manner while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Those employed as Event Servers must have certifications in Alcohol and Food/SERVSAFE on file, a requirement consistent with Levy's standards to ensure responsible service and food safety compliance. Additionally, prospective team members must complete Levy's "Creating Legends" online training program and provide proof of their completion as part of their onboarding process.

The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including greeting guests, taking and delivering food and beverage orders, maintaining buffet stations, and assisting in setting and clearing tables. Servers are expected to be comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 40 pounds to manage trays and supplies efficiently. The job requires adherence to Levy's Steps of Service, which includes serving guests via cart service, offering plated meals, and managing course clearances between servings. A high level of customer service is essential, with an emphasis on attentiveness, prompt beverage refills, and a clean and organized work area. Event Servers act as ambassadors of both the Cincinnati Convention Center and Levy, ensuring guests have a seamless and welcoming experience throughout their event.
