The Banquet Server position at Legends Global, based in the Shreveport Convention Center, is an hourly, non-exempt role essential to the success of the Food & Beverage department. Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Manager, this role is fundamental to ensuring seamless execution of banquet events through attentive service and preparation. Banquet Servers play an instrumental role in setting up, servicing, and breaking down events, contributing to an exceptional guest experience. The position demands a professional who is energetic, enthusiastic, and dedicated to maintaining high standards of service and presentation. Compensation for the role starts at $12.00 per hour, making it a valuable opportunity for individuals seeking to advance in food and beverage service within a dynamic and supportive environment.

In this role, Banquet Servers are responsible for assisting with the preparation and setup of banquet event rooms, including collecting all necessary banquet equipment such as flatware, china, glassware, and serving pieces. They prepare garnishes, beverages, condiments, and bread, ensuring all items are ready for service. Cleanliness and attention to detail are crucial, as Banquet Servers also maintain the condition of salt and pepper containers, sugar dishes, creamers, and other serving essentials to guarantee a polished presentation. Their duties extend to setting tables with precise place settings as directed by management or banquet captains. In addition, Banquet Servers attend pre-function meetings to receive briefing on event details, enabling them to perform their duties efficiently and professionally.

Throughout the event, Banquet Servers are expected to provide friendly and courteous customer service, addressing guest needs promptly and courteously while remaining at their assigned station. They report any customer concerns or complaints to the Banquet Captain to ensure satisfaction is maintained. Post-event responsibilities include breaking down tables and banquet equipment and restoring serving pieces to their proper storage areas. The role requires adherence to strict grooming standards and company policies, ensuring a professional appearance reflective of Legends Global's brand reputation. Banquet Servers must follow established service standards, procedures, and guidelines to deliver consistent quality in event service.

This position requires someone who is adaptable and willing to perform other duties as assigned to meet the dynamic needs of the Food & Beverage department.
