The role of Banquet Server at the Irving Convention Center is a dynamic and hands-on position focused on delivering the highest level of professional catering service to guests. As a Banquet Server, you will be the face of the venue's food and beverage services, tasked with greeting guests warmly, serving food and beverages according to company standards, and answering any inquiries about the menu or facility. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with guests and ensure their experience is enjoyable and memorable.

In addition to serving guests during events, the Banquet Server will perform essential side work during non-busy hours, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and collaborate closely with food and beverage staff to uphold service standards. Knowledge of catering terminology and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests are key to succeeding in this role. Servers are expected to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, following strict hygiene and safety protocols to ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation regulations.

Candidates for this role should possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of six months of relevant experience preferred. Experience in a similar facility or the hospitality industry is advantageous. A strong work ethic, flexibility to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to stand for extended periods are necessary to thrive in this fast-paced environment. While TABC certification is preferred, it is not a requirement.
