The role of Banquet Server within Aparium Hospitality Services is pivotal in creating exceptional guest experiences during a variety of events including weddings, corporate functions, galas, and other special occasions hosted primarily at the Jasper Hotel. Reporting directly to Banquet Captains, the Banquet Server will be deeply involved in delivering efficient, courteous, and detail-oriented food and beverage service in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This on-call position primarily requires availability during evenings and weekends, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking additional income or flexible secondary employment.
As a Banquet Server, you will be essential in setting the tone and standard for guest interactions at events, ensuring every detail is attended to from event setup through breakdown. You will work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and event coordinators to orchestrate seamless service during plated meals, family-style dining, buffets, and beverage service including desserts. Job Requirements
- Passion for the people, place and culture of our community
- love of restaurants and guest service also required
- ability to obtain and/or maintain server certification within 30 days of hire
- must meet local age requirements in order to serve alcohol
- available to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays
- fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally
- continuous standing and walking and negotiating wet tile floor and steps
- fine motor coordination is needed to pour beverages, decorate cocktails and folding napkins
- ability to roll and/or carry banquet table and chairs
- standing and walking is continuous for 4-5 hours at a time
- lifting and carrying 30 lb. tray, crate or box is occasional
- negotiating varied floor surfaces is continuous
- carrying over shoulder is occasional
- hand and elbow movements for polishing glassware, silver, setting up tables, shaking, pouring, and mixing drinks
- rolling and/or carry banquet tables is continuous
- carrying stackable banquet chairs by loading the cart is continuous
- excellent sight and balance needed for negotiating varied floor surfaces
- handling lighted candles, and handling hot fluids (coffee and tea)
- must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F)

Job Duties
- Set up banquet rooms and tables according to event specifications
- greet guests and respond to service requests promptly and professionally
- serve plated meals, family meals, buffets, beverages, and desserts with accuracy and attention to timing
- clear tables and maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the event
- assist with event breakdown and reset as needed
- follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- collaborate with kitchen, bar, and event coordination teams to ensure seamless service
