The Banquet Server role is an integral part of Aramark’s event operations team, focusing on the successful execution of catering orders and events. This position requires a proactive and service-oriented individual who is dedicated to setting up events according to customer and internal specifications, delivering food and beverages efficiently, and maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the event service. The Banquet Server acts as a direct representative of Aramark to guests, ensuring an exceptional experience from start to finish.

This role involves multiple physical tasks including equipment transportation, food service, event setup, and post-event cleanup, requiring stamina and adherence to safety standards. Candidates for this role should be comfortable with flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, as events often take place outside normal business hours. Moreover, Banquet Servers are expected to complete mandatory trainings related to food handling and alcohol service to guarantee compliance with food safety regulations and corporate standards.

Job Requirements

  • Prior experience in customer service or catering environment
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for events
  • Commitment to completing mandatory food handling and alcohol service training
  • Willingness to adhere to professional dress code and appearance standards
  • Physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, standing or walking for long periods
  • Compliance with uniform policies and personal protective equipment usage

Job Duties

  • Set up catering and event services according to customer and banquet event directives
  • Deliver and transport food, drinks, and essential supplies to designated event locations
  • Arrange seating, tables, buffet lines, and other event equipment as outlined in the banquet event itinerary
  • Refill food and beverages as required during the event
  • Maintain cleanliness of food service areas to ensure hygiene and presentation
  • Organize clearing of food and beverage deliveries after service and breakdown event locations post-event
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all event guests throughout the event
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed for a secure environment
