Job Description

HHM Hotels is a well-established hospitality company known for providing exceptional lodging and event services across various locations. As a reputable hotel brand, HHM Hotels offers its guests a blend of comfort, convenience, and quality experiences tailored to both leisure and business travelers. Within the hospitality industry, HHM Hotels stands out by emphasizing personalized guest service, sustainable operational standards, and continuous professional development for its employees. The company prides itself on fostering a positive work environment where team members are encouraged to grow their careers through defined paths and structured opportunities.

The Banquet Server role at HHM Hotels is an essential position within the banquet and events department, designed to ensure smooth service during functions, weddings, corporate gatherings, and special events held on the hotel premises. This role involves setting up banquet rooms according to the supervisor’s instructions, serving food and beverages professionally, and maintaining high-quality guest satisfaction aligned with both hospitality standards and sustainability practices. The position offers part-time and full-time employment opportunities with competitive wages, supported by a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans.

The responsibilities of a Banquet Server extend beyond typical food service duties. The server participates in roll call meetings to fully understand event specifics, hotel expectations, and guest needs prior to each function. Serving food and beverages is to be done in a sequence that matches supervisory guidance to ensure consistency throughout the event. Additionally, Banquet Servers are tasked with replenishing refreshments, promptly clearing dishes as guests finish courses, and addressing any special requests or issues with a guest-centric attitude. Compliance with all state, federal, and corporate policies—especially those governing the service of alcoholic beverages—is mandatory for this role. Safety practices aligned with OSHA and MSDS regulations are also integral to the position, promoting a secure working environment. This role is suitable for candidates who have a basic high school education and food service experience is considered a plus. Those with a good memory for menu items and a friendly, attentive service demeanor will find this position rewarding.

Career growth is a key element promoted by HHM Hotels. Individuals starting as Banquet Servers have a clear pathway to advance into roles such as Banquet Captain, Assistant Banquet Manager, and eventually Banquet Manager. This structured advancement path supports the company’s commitment to professional development and recognizing employee potential. Candidates interested in joining a supportive team where hospitality excellence and guest satisfaction are prioritized will find the Banquet Server role an ideal fit within HHM Hotels. The job requires physical endurance, including standing for long periods and lifting up to thirty-five pounds, making it suitable for energetic and service-oriented individuals.

HHM Hotels also upholds a company culture focused on four core beliefs: People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, and Stay Nimble - Own It. This philosophy underscores the importance of caring service, operational excellence, adaptability, and personal responsibility, which the Banquet Server is expected to embody in daily tasks. Overall, this position offers an exciting entry point into the hospitality industry with a reputable brand dedicated to employee wellbeing and guest experience excellence.
