Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months to one year of related experience or training
  • Open availability including nights weekends and holidays
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to carry a minimum of 6 plates on a tray
  • Ability to move lift and arrange equipment for off-site catered events
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong guest service skills
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food quality standards
  • Available and present for scheduled shifts
  • Able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs frequently and stand for full shifts

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Assist with event preparation to include setup and breakdown of the banquet area including moving tables chairs table settings buffet stations arranging tables and chairs and other event items as needed
  • Read and understand the banquet event order and follow the setup instructions
  • Ensure buffet stations are set properly to include beverages condiments china glass and silverware
  • Assist with organizing tray jacks stands and trays for plated service as needed
  • Ensure buffet is set up and ready for service at the appropriate time to ensure seamless service
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively with staff and customers
  • Refill food and beverage stations as needed
  • Collaborate with event and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth operation
  • Ensure plated meals are set to standard
  • Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the event space and stations at all times following all set-up guidelines
  • Dispose of empty boxes used during the course of the event
  • Maintain a neat clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Adhere to set standards procedures department rules and sanitation requirements
  • Perform other duties as requested during the event
