The Banquet Server role at Aparium Hospitality Services is a crucial position that supports the smooth execution of diverse events such as weddings, corporate functions, galas, and other special occasions. Reporting directly to Banquet Captains, the Banquet Server plays an integral part in ensuring the delivery of an exceptional guest experience. Banquet Servers are responsible for efficient and courteous food and beverage service, demonstrating strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a cooperative attitude.

Tasks include setting up banquet rooms and tables per event specifications, serving various meal formats ranging from plated meals to buffets, promptly responding to guest requests, and maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout events. Job Requirements

  • Passion for the people, place and culture of our community

  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain Server Certification within 30 days of hire
  • Must meet local age requirements in order to serve alcohol
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally
  • Continuous standing and walking and negotiating wet tile floor and steps
  • Fine motor coordination needed to pour beverages, decorate cocktails and folding napkins
  • Ability to roll and/or carry banquet table and chairs
  • Standing and walking is continuous for 4-5 hours at a time
  • Lifting and carrying 30 lb tray, crate or box is occasional
  • Negotiating varied floor surfaces is continuous
  • Carrying over shoulder is occasional
  • Hand and elbow movements for polishing glassware, silver, setting up tables, shaking, pouring, and mixing drinks
  • Rolling and/or carry banquet tables is continuous
  • Carrying stackable banquet chairs by loading the cart is continuous
  • Excellent sight and balance needed for negotiating varied floor surfaces
  • Handling lighted candles, and handling hot fluids like coffee and tea
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F)

Job Duties

  • Set up banquet rooms and tables according to event specifications
  • Greet guests and respond to service requests promptly and professionally
  • Serve plated meals, family meals, buffets, beverages, and desserts with accuracy and attention to timing
  • Clear tables and maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the event
  • Assist with event breakdown and reset as needed
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and event coordination teams to ensure seamless service
