The company is dedicated to engaging with the community and fostering creativity, making it a pioneering force in the hospitality industry. 21c Museum Hotels operates with a strong commitment to inclusivity and diversity, welcoming a wide range of guests and providing them with personalized service in a welcoming environment. As an equal opportunity employer, 21c Museum Hotels values diverse backgrounds and perspectives, ensuring an equitable workplace for all employees.
The Event Server role at 21c Museum Hotels is a key component of delivering outstanding service at events held within the hotel and restaurant venues. Reporting directly to the Event Captain or Event Manager, the Event Server is responsible for executing the hands-on aspects of events, ensuring that guests receive excellent service from the moment they arrive until the event concludes. This role demands a thorough and task-oriented individual who can adapt quickly and effectively within a dynamic environment. The Event Server will be part of a dedicated team that operates seamlessly during large events and handles intimate smaller meetings independently when needed. Core responsibilities include setting up and tearing down event spaces according to detailed instructions, assisting with the service of food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and professional appearance throughout the shift. The role is vital in promoting the values and spirit of 21c Museum Hotels by providing warm, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable service related to the art-inspired hospitality experience.
Candidates must possess strong communication skills, including the ability to speak, read, and understand English, and have a positive, proactive attitude. Familiarity with beverage knowledge, especially spirits like bourbon alongside beer and wine, is advantageous. Physical stamina is required as the position involves standing, walking, carrying full trays, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds. The ideal Event Server enjoys working in a diverse team environment and takes responsibility for punctuality, dependability, and customer satisfaction. This role offers flexible hours that include nights and weekends to accommodate a wide range of events. Joining 21c Museum Hotels means becoming part of a community that values artistic innovation, excellent service, and meaningful guest engagement, all while working in a dynamic and supportive atmosphere.
