The Banquet Server position at Aramark plays a critical role in the successful execution of catering orders and events, providing essential event service support that ensures guest satisfaction. This role involves assisting the event operations team with a variety of tasks related to event setup, equipment and food transportation, guest service, and post-event cleanup. Banquet Servers are responsible for organizing seating arrangements, buffet lines, and event equipment according to the outlined event directives. During events, they must replenish food and beverages as needed and maintain a clean, hygienic environment for guests. After events, they handle the removal of food and beverage items and break down the event spaces. The role demands excellent customer service skills to guarantee that all guests receive exceptional treatment throughout the event. Additionally, Banquet Servers are required to adhere strictly to safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure environment.

This position requires physical stamina because duties involve lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Candidates must meet dress code requirements and be willing to work flexible hours, particularly on weekends and evenings, to accommodate event schedules. Mandatory completion of Food Handling and Alcohol Service training is also a requirement for ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with customers
  • Previous catering experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to meet dress code requirements
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings
  • Completion of Food Handling and Alcohol Service training
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for extended periods
  • Compliance with uniform policy and use of personal protective equipment as required

Job Duties

  • Set up catering and event services in accordance with customer requirements and banquet event directives

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of food service areas
  • Clear food and beverage deliveries post-service and break down event spaces
