The Embassy Suites brand is known nationwide for its commitment to quality and guest satisfaction, offering spacious suites equipped with modern amenities, event spaces for both business and leisure travelers, and a welcoming atmosphere that ensures every guest feels valued. Atrium Hospitality, the parent company, stands behind a powerful culture guided by the SPIRIT values: Service, Perseverance, Inclusion, Respect, Innovation, and Teamwork. These values underpin their mission to create a workplace where employees can thrive and grow, while simultaneously delivering memorable experiences to guests. The commitment to these principles is evident in their emphasis on career growth, internal promotions, and comprehensive benefits designed to support their team members inside and outside of work.
This part-time role at Omaha Embassy Suites offers an hourly wage of $16.00, with compensation taking into account the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and specific job location. The position focuses on banquet serving, an integral part of the hotel's hospitality services that ensures successful event execution. As a banquet server, you will be responsible for setting up and breaking down event spaces according to Banquet Event Orders, including arranging linens, table settings, and audio/visual equipment. Serving food and beverages demands attention to timing, presentation, and guest satisfaction, reflecting the hotel's high standards. Maintaining a clean and organized banquet area throughout the event is also essential, along with managing guest needs with professionalism and supporting event staff. The hotel fosters a safe and welcoming environment by strictly following food safety, sanitation, and company policies.
The role requires a minimum of six months’ experience serving medium to large groups, along with food safety and alcohol certification or completion of training within the first 90 days. Physical demands include the ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs, bending and squatting repeatedly, and standing or walking during the entire shift. Flexible availability is necessary, including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays to accommodate the dynamic nature of events and guest needs.
Omaha Embassy Suites and Atrium Hospitality are dedicated to fostering an inclusive culture where teamwork and open communication are highly valued. Employees benefit from a supportive work environment with access to leadership at all levels, enabling success and satisfaction in their roles. The company’s benefits package includes career growth opportunities, a 401(k) plan with company match, comprehensive health coverage options including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and vacation with brand discounts. Additional perks like DailyPay, wellness programs, tuition reimbursement, and access to exclusive discounts contribute to a well-rounded employee experience. The organization is also committed to social responsibility through community service and volunteer programs, providing employees with meaningful ways to make a positive impact.
As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Omaha Embassy Suites embraces diversity and ensures that all qualified applicants receive fair consideration regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status. This role invites those passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional service to join an organization that values and invests in its people, offering a vibrant workplace with growth, benefits, and a strong sense of purpose.
