This role of Banquet Server is an excellent opportunity within HHM Hotels, based at the Renaissance Denver Central Park Hotel. As a Banquet Server, your primary responsibility is to ensure flawless service at banquet events by setting up banquet rooms according to supervisor instructions and serving food and beverages in line with established guest service and sustainability standards. This position demands attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset as you attend meetings before events to gather all relevant information on the event's specifics and expectations. You will consistently serve food and beverages in a way that meets the quality standards of both the hotel and the guests, replenishing beverages as needed, and promptly clearing dishes between courses. You'll handle guest requests and resolve any complaints professionally while adhering strictly to state, federal, and corporate regulations concerning the service of alcoholic beverages. Safety is paramount, so you will be expected to follow OSHA standards and practice safe work habits at all times.
The Banquet Server role offers a defined growth path within the hospitality sector at HHM Hotels, moving from Banquet Server to Banquet Captain, then Assistant Banquet Manager, and eventually to Banquet Manager. This progression highlights HHM Hotels' commitment to professional development and employee advancement. While experience in food service is beneficial, the position is open to those holding a high school diploma or equivalent, making it accessible to entry-level candidates aiming to build a rewarding career in hotel banquet services.
HHM Hotels takes pride in its robust employee benefits package, which includes competitive wages for full and part-time positions, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision health insurance, paid time off, a 401k company match, daily pay options, free basic life insurance, 24/7 access to TELUS Health resources, travel discounts, commuter transit and parking benefits, employee assistance and wellness programs, educational and professional development opportunities, and a referral bonus program. The work environment requires physical stamina, as the role involves standing for long periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 35 pounds, and frequent bending and reaching. Flexibility is also necessary, given that work schedules include holidays and weekends.
At Renaissance Denver Central Park Hotel under the HHM Hotels umbrella, the core values of "People Are Our Capability," "Hearts That Serve," "Only Excellence," "Stay Nimble," and "Own It" underscore the commitment to both guest satisfaction and employee growth, making this an exciting and fulfilling career opportunity for hospitality professionals committed to excellence and service.
