The role available at Boyd Gaming involves serving food and beverages during banquet events, making it an integral position within their hospitality and event services sector. The Banquet Server is responsible for setting up banquet functions by arranging tables with linens, dishes, flatware, and glassware according to specific banquet orders. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who ensures all dining and service areas meet the high standards expected by both guests and the company. The server will also break down banquet functions by clearing tables and transporting used items to designated cleaning areas, ensuring a smooth transition between events. This position plays a crucial part in enhancing guest experiences by providing prompt and courteous service. Being able to stand, walk, lift trays weighing up to 40 pounds, and handle carts weighing up to 100 pounds are necessary physical requirements for this role. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential to interact positively with guests. Job Requirements

Six months of experience preferred
must be able to stand and walk for duration of shift
must be able to lift and carry trays weighing approximately 40 pounds
must be able to push and/or pull carts weighing approximately 100 pounds
must have excellent customer service and communication skills
must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications

Job Duties

Set up banquet room in accordance with catering specification sheet
table linens, dishes, silverware, and glassware
greet guests in a friendly, courteous manner
serve food and beverage items to guests using hand-held trays and/or buffet carts
prepare and set up condiments
break down banquet room upon completion of function
remove soiled dishes, glassware and silverware and transport to dishwashing area
