The Banquet Server role at HHM Hotels is an integral part of the food and beverage team, primarily responsible for setting up banquet rooms and serving food and beverages in strict accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards. This position is hourly paid at $22.00 per hour and offers both part-time and full-time opportunities. As a Banquet Server, you will be the friendly face ensuring guests enjoy their events, whether corporate meetings, weddings, or social gatherings. The role demands high attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will prepare the banquet area as directed by supervisors, attend pre-event briefings to understand guest expectations and event specifics, and serve food and beverage orders while consistently maintaining quality and professionalism. You will be responsible for promptly replenishing beverages, clearing dishes between courses, and addressing any special guest requests or complaints to guarantee satisfaction. Strict adherence to safety standards and legal regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages is mandatory. Additionally, this job requires physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift up to 35 pounds, and perform various tasks involving bending, reaching, and walking.

Job Duties

  • Set up banquet room as instructed by supervisor
  • Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars, including guest and hotel expectations
  • Serve the food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the supervisor to ensure consistency throughout the banquet
  • Replenish beverages as necessary, and check with guests for overall satisfaction
  • Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function
  • Respond to guest special requests and resolve guest complaints
  • Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
  • Practice safe work habits
  • wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
