The role available is that of a Banquet Server, operating within a fast-paced and service-driven environment. This position is critical to the successful execution of events, ensuring that all guests receive exceptional hospitality and service, making every event memorable and seamless. Reporting directly to the Director of Food and Beverage, the Banquet Server position offers a base pay rate of 22 dollars per hour, reflecting the organization’s commitment to offering competitive remuneration. The job involves assisting with the preparation, setup, and execution of banquet events, involving tasks such as collecting and organizing banquet equipment like flatware, china, glassware, and serving pieces. The role also includes preparing garnishes, beverages, condiments, and breads, as well as cleaning and refilling small service items like salt and pepper containers, sugar dishes, and creamers. Banquet Servers are integral to the smooth operation of event services, preparing tables with place settings and following precise instructions provided by the Food and Beverage Manager or Banquet Captain. Attending pre-function meetings to receive detailed event briefings is a key part of the role, ensuring all staff are aligned and prepared for successful event execution. Customer service excellence is paramount, as Banquet Servers are expected to provide friendly, courteous service throughout each event, proactively addressing customer concerns and reporting any issues to supervisory staff. Physical demands of the role are significant, requiring the ability to stand for long hours, perform repetitive movements, and lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds, sometimes above shoulder height.
