The role emphasizes leadership and coordination during banquet and catered events, requiring the Banquet Porter to oversee on-floor service execution alongside Banquet Servers and other Porters. The Banquet Porter acts as the primary service lead for assigned events, ensuring that every detail aligns with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), timelines, and Sodexo’s high standards of guest service.

Responsibilities are diverse and include active participation in event setup, service, and breakdown, maintaining top-notch communication, and delivering exceptional guest satisfaction. The Banquet Porter works closely with the Banquet Supervisor, culinary teams, and other service staff to execute seamless and professional events. Flexibility is key, as duties may vary depending on event size, service style, and client requirements. The position requires open availability with varying shifts to accommodate the event schedule.

Being part of Sodexo means joining a company that goes beyond a job role to provide meaningful career opportunities. The company is committed to offering equal employment opportunities and fostering a culture of respect and belonging.

This position also demands a strong commitment to food safety and service compliance, including adherence to sanitation standards, HACCP protocols, and responsible alcohol service policies. The Banquet Porter will be involved in training and onboarding new banquet service staff as directed, helping to build a skilled and efficient team. Physical requirements include the ability to frequently lift and move weights up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, making physical stamina important.

Overall, the Banquet Porter role at Sodexo’s Hollywood Bowl Amphitheatre location is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals seeking part-time employment in a reputable company known for its integrity, employee support, and community commitment.
