The Banquet Server role at Sheraton Boston is responsible for providing outstanding banquet guest service while ensuring that all events are executed smoothly and in accordance with detailed Banquet Event Orders. The successful candidate will work closely with group coordinators and banquet hosts to confirm event arrangements, manage event setups, and meet specific guest needs. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to anticipate guest needs, and a commitment to following safety protocols and company policies.

In this role, the banquet server will review event details to determine proper food service arrangements such as buffets and action stations, addressing any special requirements to ensure guest satisfaction. The role demands physical stamina to perform duties like standing, walking, and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Attention to personal appearance and maintaining professionalism are also essential to uphold Sheraton's reputation.

The position requires adherence to safety procedures, including reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, completing necessary training, and protecting company assets. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • at least 1 year of related work experience
  • ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • ability to move, lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
  • ability to move over uneven or slippery surfaces and stairs
  • ability to reach overhead and below knees including bending and stooping
  • adherence to company safety and security policies
  • maintain professional appearance
  • complete safety training and certifications

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • at least 1 year of related work experience
  • no supervisory experience required
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • capable of physical tasks required by the role
  • familiarity with banquet events or hospitality service preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional banquet guest service
  • execute events according to banquet event orders
