Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- at least 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
- ability to manage banquet operations effectively
- strong leadership and communication skills
- knowledge of legal regulations affecting events
- proficiency in inventory, cost control, and sanitation practices
- experience in staff scheduling and training
- capability to resolve guest issues and ensure guest satisfaction

Job Duties
- Project supply needs for the department including china, glass, silver, buffet presentations, and props
- apply knowledge of relevant laws related to events
- manage banquet operations to maximize customer satisfaction
- adhere to and reinforce all standards, policies, and procedures
- maintain established sanitation levels
- manage departmental inventories and equipment maintenance
- use banquet beverage records to control liquor costs and manage inventory
- schedule banquet service staff according to forecast and service standards
- assist in developing lasting client relationships to retain business and drive growth
- set goals and delegate tasks to improve department performance
- conduct monthly department meetings
- broaden knowledge of food and wine pairings and current event trends
- act as liaison to kitchen staff
- lead shifts and actively participate in servicing events
- set positive examples for guest relations
- interact with guests for feedback
- handle guest complaints
- empower employees to provide excellent customer service
- ensure employees understand expectations and parameters
- strive to improve service performance
- emphasize guest satisfaction in meetings
- review comment cards and guest survey results
- communicate and execute emergency procedures
- observe and provide feedback on staff service behaviors
- monitor progress and lead discussions
- participate in corrective action plans
- review quarterly Meeting Planner Survey results and implement improvements
- attend and participate in relevant meetings
