Job Requirements

  • Three or more years experience in banquet and banquet setup
  • Experience managing a union banquet team
  • Prior supervisory or managerial experience in a hotel with 500+ rooms
  • Ability to work full availability including AM, PM, and overnight shifts
  • Willingness to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Capability to manage large teams efficiently

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years experience in banquet management within a large hotel setting
  • Proven management experience working with unionized teams
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Familiarity with banquet setup standards and safety regulations
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Manage and lead the banquet team to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Oversee daily execution of all banquet functions including planning, organizing, and execution
  • Direct inspection and preparation of meeting and banquet setups
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards
  • Supervise scheduling, performance evaluations, training, and recruitment of banquet staff
  • Coordinate with multiple hotel departments to communicate function specifications and operational changes
  • Manage equipment breakdown, storage, and maintenance for banquet functions
