Job Requirements
- High school or equivalent education
- One to two years of food and beverage service experience
- Ability to work indoors and in extreme temperatures
- Ability to sit for up to 5 hours daily
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, squat, and stretch as needed
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to push and pull carts up to 250 lbs occasionally
- Manual dexterity and good vision required
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure

- Must adhere to hotel safety and operation policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of food and beverage service experience
- Prior hospitality experience
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in staff training and development
- Knowledge of banquet operations and event setup standards
- Proficiency in inventory management
- Skills in client relationship management
- Familiarity with hotel policies and safety regulations
Job Duties
- Review all written communication including resumes and Banquet Event Orders to determine staffing levels and assignments
- Communicate all changes within the Banquet Department and adjust accordingly
- Coordinate information with kitchen and other supportive departments prior to and during events
- Maintain client relationships and ensure convention specifications are executed
- Communicate with Convention Service and Catering Sales Manager regarding client matters
- Ensure timely setting up of functions and meetings maintaining standards
- Communicate daily activities to banquet personnel for smooth transitions
- Develop and maintain policies and quality standards in the department
- Implement training plans to improve banquet service staff performance
- Manage inventory and control breakage and loss with Executive Steward
- Provide daily support and guidance to banquet personnel
- Monitor job performance for successful guest experiences
- Conduct training and coaching for direct reports and staff
- Inspect cleanliness and maintenance of function and public areas
- Coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering to ensure high product delivery
- Responsible for monthly scheduling and payroll
- Introduce and recommend preferred vendors aligned with revenue goals
- Participate in inventory of china, glassware, silverware, and linens
- Generate Banquet Event Orders, VIP, limousine, and amenity forms
- Maintain communication with all hotel departments
- Maintain good relations with preferred vendors
- Keep up-to-date on programs and food & beverage events
- Attend department and hotel meetings
- Supervise support staff with ongoing training and support
- Maintain accurate par levels and inventory of supplies and equipment
