The role being offered is a full-time Management position in Event Management with an annual pay range of $74,000 to $93,000, including eligibility for a performance bonus. This position is based on-site in Philadelphia and is not remote. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and motivating a team to deliver high-quality service aligned with organizational standards and event requirements. This role demands a strategic professional who can monitor financial and administrative responsibilities, including asset protection, while maintaining clear, concise communication channels with all stakeholders invested in the success of events.

In this leadership role, you will manage banquet operations by coordinating supply needs such as china, glassware, silverware, buffet presentations, and props. You will ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to event management and food and beverage service. Maintaining sanitation, managing departmental inventories, and controlling costs through meticulous beverage record-keeping will be core areas of focus. Scheduling and maximizing team productivity to meet forecast and service standards will also be under your purview.

Leading banquet teams involves setting achievable goals, delegating tasks effectively, and conducting regular departmental meetings to discuss performance improvements. You will bring expertise in current food and wine trends, act as a liaison between banquet staff and kitchen teams, and lead from the front during event services.

Delivering exceptional customer service is paramount, and you will serve as a role model for guest relations, engaging directly with guests to gather feedback, resolving complaints promptly, and empowering staff to uphold service excellence. Continuous improvement will be encouraged by reviewing guest satisfaction metrics and focusing efforts on addressing service challenges.

In addition to operational oversight, the role requires conducting human resources activities, including communicating and enforcing safety and emergency procedures and providing performance feedback. Participation in corrective action plans and staff development is crucial, alongside active involvement in departmental and property-wide meetings.
