We are currently seeking a skilled Banquet Manager to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves overseeing all banquet and event operations to guarantee flawless service, efficient event execution, and strict adherence to hotel standards. The Banquet Manager will play a critical part in coordinating with culinary, sales, and operations teams to successfully deliver a wide variety of events. You will lead and inspire banquet staff while managing all logistical details from event setup through breakdown. This position requires a proactive leader with excellent organizational skills, a passion for exceptional guest hospitality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include supervising banquet staff scheduling and training, conducting pre-shift meetings to align the team, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. The Banquet Manager will also manage labor costs, monitor inventory, and provide prompt resolution to any guest concerns. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and move banquet equipment as needed
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor event environments

Job Qualifications

  • Previous banquet, food and beverage, or hospitality management experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of banquet service standards and event operations
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in hotel management or POS systems preferred
  • Alcohol awareness certification preferred (TIPS, ServSafe, etc.)

Job Duties

  • Oversee the daily operations of banquet events and functions
  • Coordinate event setup, service execution, and breakdown according to banquet event orders (BEOs)
  • Supervise banquet staff including scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management
  • Ensure outstanding guest satisfaction through professional and attentive service
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate event expectations to team members
  • Collaborate with Sales, Catering, Culinary, and Operations teams to ensure seamless event execution
  • Monitor labor costs, staffing levels, and operational expenses
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
  • Inspect banquet rooms and event spaces for cleanliness, presentation, and readiness
  • Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally
  • Maintain inventory and coordinate equipment and supply needs
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training banquet associates
  • Support hotel initiatives, brand standards, and service culture programs
