Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in hotel or related field
- Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work long hours and perform medium physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Must attend all required hotel meetings and trainings
- Maintain regular attendance
- Comply with Highgate Hotel standards and regulations
- Ability to handle problems effectively
- Maintain confidentiality of information
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- High school diploma required
- Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
- Strong knowledge of service standards and different service types such as French and Russian service
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules, and liquor laws and regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and guests
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Effective problem-solving skills including anticipating, preventing, and resolving issues
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Job Duties
- Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of the hotel's banquet operation
- Supervise all banquet personnel
- Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
- Work with other F&B managers and keep them informed of F&B issues as they arise
- Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws, and health and sanitation regulations
- Conduct staff performance reviews in accordance with Highgate Hotel standards
