Job Description

The Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel, located in Omaha's historic and vibrant Blackstone District, is a boutique hotel that masterfully blends timeless elegance with contemporary style. Positioned in a beautifully restored 110-year-old landmark that was once the Blackstone Hotel, this establishment is more than just a place to stay; it is a cornerstone of the community where history and modern hospitality harmoniously meet. Known for its stylish charm and state-of-the-art amenities, The Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel offers guests an unmatched experience that combines superior service with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The hotel prides itself on cultivating a passionate team that values creativity, collaboration, and a shared commitment to delivering unforgettable guest experiences. Employees at the hotel find a welcoming workplace culture that encourages growth, creativity, and mutual support, making it a place where hospitality truly feels personal.

The role of Banquet Manager at The Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel is a unique opportunity to lead one of the most critical departments within the hotel — the banquet team responsible for delivering flawless events that guests will remember for a lifetime. This full-time position requires an individual who thrives in fast-paced, high-energy environments and appreciates the importance of both precision and hospitality. As the Banquet Manager, you will oversee every aspect of event execution, from elegant room setup to impeccable service standards, managing a team tasked with creating some of Omaha’s most exquisite weddings, corporate galas, social events, and celebrations. Your leadership will be vital in motivating, training, and scheduling staff while fostering a culture of teamwork and professionalism.

You will collaborate closely with culinary, sales, and hotel operations departments to ensure that each client's vision is flawlessly brought to life. Attention to detail is critical, as you will be responsible for coordinating every element of event preparation, including linens, china, silverware, and glassware placements, as well as conducting final walkthroughs before guest arrivals. This role calls for a confident leader who can manage pressure gracefully and inspire excellence among their team on busy event days.

Davidson Hospitality Group, the award-winning management company that operates The Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel, provides a rich benefits package and a supportive environment that values personal and professional growth. This opportunity not only allows you to build a rewarding career in hospitality but also to be part of a team that continually raises the bar in the industry while maintaining a strong connection to Omaha’s cultural heritage. If you are passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences and want to contribute to a historic hotel that feels like a home, The Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel is the perfect place to advance your career.
