Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in banquet management or hospitality
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Must hold Tips, RBS and Food Handlers certification
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work long and varied hours
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Capable of standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Manual dexterity to operate equipment
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations

Job Duties

  • Responsible for entire operational service of all group, social, banquet and planned food and beverage events to ensure best guest experience
  • Maintain high standard of food product and satellite banquet staging area sanitation, storage and handling procedures
  • Implement food product presentation and service standards
  • Monitor food quality, nutritional and portion control standards
  • Consult with client group representatives to plan event details such as number of persons, display desired and food service schedule
  • Coordinate entire Banquet Service including managing banquets team, stewarding approval, staffing levels, set-up, service, clean-up and guest relations
  • Handle patron compliance with hotel rules and policies regarding banquet functions
  • Review payroll and gratuity reports
  • Arrange and coordinate specialty entertainment and event planning
  • Attend weekly Banquet Event Order, Tastings and Catering meetings
  • Conduct daily shift meetings
  • Uphold hotel values of passion, personality, respect, teamwork and creativity
