The role of the Banquet and Events Manager at Paws Up Montana is a vital leadership position responsible for managing all aspects of banquets and events, ensuring seamless operation and high-quality guest service. The position demands strong organizational skills to coordinate Food & Beverage and Culinary banquet meetings, schedule staff efficiently to meet labor and budgetary expectations, and handle client communications with professionalism and a guest-centric focus.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or similar work experience/training
- 3+ years’ experience in Food & Beverage/Banquet Management in a resort or fine dining setting
- TIPS certified
- Knowledge of world class hospitality and service management
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team
- Current driver’s license with two years driving experience
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience/training
- Minimum 3 years of Food & Beverage or Banquet Management experience in resort or fine dining settings
- TIPS certification

Job Duties
- Oversee and maintain the timing of banquets, outdoor dining, and event dining
- Coordinate and execute all banquet event orders (BEOs)
- Manage on-site production for all events including client communication, set up, execution, and clean up
- Maintain banquet inventories including china, glassware, silverware, linen, serving utensils, equipment, and décor
- Coordinate Food & Beverage and Culinary banquet meetings
- Schedule staff according to business volume and adjust daily operations to meet labor and budget expectations
- Train team according to the resort's Food & Beverage standards
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching Food & Beverage team members
- Know and train others on operating systems such as POS and OpenTable
- Ensure responsible alcohol consumption
- Improve guest dining satisfaction while maintaining operating budget
- Provide day-to-day guidance, recognition, and performance management for team members
- Maintain flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Foster a positive and professional environment for guests and team members
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and staff
