This role is a full-time, non-management position categorized under Food and Beverage & Culinary. The pay rate is $17.18 per hour, with open availability preferred to ensure coverage across various shifts. The position involves essential duties that contribute to the smooth operation of the hotel's culinary and food service functions. Responsibilities include the final breakdown of events or functions, maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas, handling linens, and supporting other departments to ensure optimal guest service. The role requires physical activity such as standing, walking, lifting, and manipulating objects, making it suitable for candidates who are active and enjoy a dynamic work environment.

The employee will be responsible for cleaning function rooms, returning equipment to proper locations, completing closing duties such as securing goods and locking doors, and setting up and stocking workstations. Maintaining sanitation and organization according to company standards is critical, alongside practicing clean-as-you-go procedures throughout the day. The role also involves transporting and sorting linens, assisting with guest needs, and ensuring safety and security protocols are followed diligently. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and over 75 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight
  • Ability to move over uneven or slippery surfaces and up and down stairs or ramps
  • Ability to reach overhead and below knees including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • Open availability preferred

Job Duties

  • Complete final breakdown of function by cleaning the room and returning equipment to proper location
  • Complete closing duties including storing reusable goods, locking doors, and breaking down goods
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas
  • Transport dirty linen to correct area, separate napkins from tablecloths, and restock linen shelves with clean linens
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day practicing clean-as-you-go procedures
  • Assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests
