The Events Support Expert role is a full-time, non-management position based at JW Marriott New Orleans, paying $15.00 per hour. This role is integral to the flawless execution of events hosted at the hotel, going beyond simply setting up tables and chairs. Employees in this position take initiative and provide an array of support services that ensure the seamless flow and success of events. Responsibilities include arranging and dismantling event materials, transporting supplies, stocking bars and action stations, and performing various physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and placing objects within specified weight limits. The role emphasizes teamwork and professional presentation, requiring the Events Support Expert to maintain a neat uniform, personal appearance, and clear communication skills while adhering to company policies and safety standards. Being physically active throughout shifts is essential, and staff members must be capable of tasks that involve standing, walking, and manual handling for extended periods. This role does not require prior supervisory experience or certifications but does benefit from a high school diploma or equivalent and less than one year of related work experience.
