The Westin DC Downtown is a distinguished hotel situated in the heart of Washington, District of Columbia. As part of Marriott International, a leading global hospitality company, The Westin prides itself on delivering exceptional guest experiences through its commitment to wellness, comfort, and service excellence. The hotel caters to both business and leisure travelers, offering pristine accommodations, wellness-focused amenities, and a welcoming environment that encourages guests to recharge and revitalize during their stay. Serving in the vibrant downtown area, The Westin DC Downtown stands as a beacon of hospitality, combining the rich cultural backdrop of the nation's capital with the trusted Marriott legacy.

This job opening is for a full-time position located on property, specifically within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category, with an hourly pay range of $22.69 to $30.25. The role is a non-management position requiring open availability, with a preference for candidates who have prior hospitality experience. The primary responsibility involves completing the final breakdown of functions by ensuring rooms are cleaned, equipment is properly stored, and all reusable goods are securely stored at the end of shifts. This includes meticulous closing duties such as locking doors and breaking down goods, ensuring all work areas are set up, stocked, and maintained throughout operations. The role demands maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization within assigned service areas, which is vital for guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Additionally, the role requires transporting dirty linens to designated cleaning areas, separating various linen types, and restocking shelves with clean linens. Maintaining cleanliness proactively throughout shifts with clean-as-you-go practices is encouraged. This position also entails assisting other departments when needed to support exceptional guest service. Safety and security adherence is critical, with an expectation to follow all company policies, report unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training. The ideal candidate must maintain a professional appearance, uphold confidentiality, and protect company assets. Guest interaction is essential, as candidates are expected to welcome and acknowledge guests per company standards, anticipate service needs, and communicate clearly and professionally within the team.

The Westin’s brand ethos focuses strongly on wellness, aiming to empower guests to be their best selves while on the road. Employees are encouraged to embody this wellness-focused mission by maintaining their individual well-being both at work and in their personal lives. This role is perfect for those who are active, optimistic, adventurous, and passionate about contributing to a positive team environment. By joining The Westin DC Downtown, associates become part of a global team renowned for diversity, inclusion, and opportunity.
