The Post is a renowned restaurant located in Boulder, Colorado, celebrated for its commitment to delivering exceptional food and a welcoming atmosphere. Rooted deeply in the community, The Post is a gathering place built on a love for fried chicken and a passion for great beers. This locally owned and fiercely independent establishment creates a space where friends and family can come together to enjoy not just a meal, but an experience filled with laughter, indulgence, and memorable moments. Known for its high standards and dedication to quality, The Post prides itself on providing truly memorable, gracious hospitality and an environment where both guests and staff feel valued and welcomed.

The Event Chef is expected to respect both the food and the team, follow instructions meticulously, and surpass expectations with every service. When the lead chef is unavailable, the Event Chef steps up to lead, demonstrating professional skills and acumen necessary to build a positive team culture and execute menus with unwavering attention to quality, consistency, flavor, and presentation. Efficiency, cleanliness, and leadership are core to this role, with the goal of guiding the team to greatness and eventually becoming the head chef.

This position offers competitive annual compensation ranging from $64,000 to $73,000, with a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, dental, vision, paid time off, and bonuses based on performance. The Event Chef also benefits from training and development opportunities, a flexible work schedule, and employee discounts, making it an attractive role for culinary professionals eager to grow their career while working in a supportive and dynamic environment.

At The Post, the emphasis is not only on great food but on creating outstanding experiences and memorable hospitality. The company’s mission is to serve delicious and memorable hospitality, highlighting that hospitality is at the core of everything they do. This mission extends beyond the kitchen to every aspect of the guest experience, ensuring that each visit to The Post is enjoyable and enriching.

The Post is part of Big Red F, a collective of restaurants and bars committed to the happiness of their guests, the success of their teams, and meaningful connections to the communities they serve. Employees become part of a family that values integrity, intelligence, honesty, and a willingness to learn and excel. The company culture fosters growth, teamwork, and fun, encouraging employees to take pride in their work and contribute to a well-run and welcoming restaurant home.

Overall, being an Event Chef at The Post means more than managing food preparation; it involves leading with passion, mentoring staff, maintaining the highest standards of quality, and becoming a key part of a vibrant community-focused restaurant. If you are someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading a talented team, and aspires to be recognized as a world-class chef, The Post invites you to join their family and contribute to a legacy of excellence and hospitality.
