The role offered is a Food and Beverage Culinary position, specifically designed for full-time, non-management team members passionate about contributing to an exemplary banquet and buffet service. Positioned in a dynamic and prestigious setting, this role pays $27.02 per hour and requires hands-on involvement in culinary preparations and operations crucial to banquet and buffet events.

In this role, you will be directly responsible for preparing and presenting dishes and trays appropriately for banquets, operating various cooking equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, and ensuring consistency and quality with every dish served according to prescribed recipes and presentation standards. Tasks include cutting buffet meats as requested by guests, portioning, chopping, peeling, and washing fresh fruits and vegetables, weighing and mixing ingredients, as well as testing food for doneness and maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.

The position demands a proactive approach in organizing and managing banquet stations, overseeing the availability and quality of all products involved in banquet setups. You will work collaboratively with the banquet and buffet teams to anticipate guest service needs, maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas and equipment, and ensure compliance with all Marriott International policies related to safety and hygiene by reporting unsafe conditions and completing safety training and certifications.

The role also entails physical demands such as standing, walking, bending, reaching above the head or below the knees, and lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds independently. Job Duties

  • Prepare presentations of dishes and trays appropriately for banquets
  • Organize and operate banquet and buffet stations
